EPL — Conscious Narrative Pilot is the publication of Edvaldo Pereira Lima — writer, author’s coach, scholar, whole book professional, and developmental editor. Published primarily in English, with sections in Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese, it brings together the Awakening Drive narrative series, the Total Writing creative method, and the Conscious Narrative concept — all expressions of a single underlying purpose: intentional communication in service of the expansion of human consciousness, the transformation of how we live, and a collective mindset shift in our entangled, complex global village at this crucial moment of transition in history.
At the heart of this publication is Conscious Narrative — Edvaldo’s proposed approach to writing stories, mainly long-form nonfiction: memoir, biography, autobiography, personal essay, profile, travel writing, and what Edvaldo has coined the narrative portrait. These are people-centered narratives entangled with the universal theme of the evolution of human consciousness and the shift of society toward an integrated, holistic, and systemic way of living and working — stories that spontaneously inspire every reader’s own expansion toward the best of themselves.
Together with Total Writing — an innovative creative method for fiction and nonfiction, born from Edvaldo’s multiple and integrated career as writer, scholar, professor, and whole book professional — these two concepts, both of his creation, form the intellectual and creative foundation of everything published and offered here.
A Brazilian writer based in São Paulo, with strong cultural ties to the United States and Spanish America, Edvaldo has lived in the US, Canada, Costa Rica, and Europe. This biography of crossings — of languages, cultures, and borders — is at the root of his particular commitment to immigrants, expatriates, descendants, modern-day nomads, and global citizen writers who navigate English as a chosen language, whether they write directly in English, translate themselves, or move fluidly between both, believing that writing across languages and cultures carries its own unique depth and creative power.
